Reminder: Open CSA Steering Committee Nominations close 7 May 2007

Hi,
   Just a reminder that there are 3 initial yet to be filled one year  
terms on the Open CSA Steering Committee which will be filled by an  
election of the OpenCSA members this month.

   Nominations close at 23:45 EDT on 7 May 2007, with the actual  
election to be held shortly after.

   You can find all the details in the OpenCSA Rules of Procedure  
(http://www.oasis-opencsa.org/RoP), but the main task of the Steering  
Committee is to "steer" the work of the member section, mostly by  
having to approve the charters of its affiliated TCs, and by  
establishing the program of work. The initial task of the of the  
Member Section will be to continue the standardization of development  
of the SCA and SDO specifications that the open SOA collaboration has  
published (see www.osoa.org) and has committed to submitting to OASIS.

   The collaboration is waiting until the full Steering Committee is  
seated before starting the Charter approval process.

   So if your company wishes to have a significant say in the work,  
please do consider running.

   You can self-nominate by sending an email to nominations@oasis- 
open.org. All nominations must be confirmed by your Oasis "primary"  
so you might consider having him or her send the mail.
