MANHATTAN MEETING PLANNING

   Location

      Sun Microsystems offices in Manhattan at 101 Park Avenue
      (Park at 40th Street).

   Preliminary schedule

      Monday morning: Opening plenary
      Monday afternoon through Wednesday morning: Breakouts
      Wednesday afternoon: Plenary discussion of Customization
         Guidelines
      Thursday morning: Plenary discussion of Customization
         Guidelines (etc.)
      Thursday afternoon: Closing plenary + wine & cheese
      Friday morning: Work session for North American participants

      Phone access will be provided for the plenaries using the
      usual con call bridge (see above).

         MS: Will participate in the HISC breakout by phone.  Best
         time is the Monday afternoon slot.

         JB: Will note this in the detailed schedule.

         ACTION: MS to send brief description on state of work to
         JB some time in the next week.

         ACTION: JB to find last input from Micah Dubinko and
         forward to MS.

   JB: Some of us will be meeting for dinner Sunday night; I will
   be putting out a note to people on the list above.

   ACTION: JB to publish preliminary agenda.

   JB: We will be trying an experiment to see whether we can
   provide internet access from the meeting room via a cell phone
   connection.  If this is successful, participants will be able
   to use the connection for relatively low-bandwidth transfers
   such as email.  Given the uncertainty of the outcome, however,
   participants should inform their correspondents that they may
   be cut off from email access during the day.

TC CONCALL SCHEDULE

   Note that there are no Atlantic or Pacific TC con calls for the
   next three weeks.  The regular call schedule resumes the week
   of 11 February.
