Namespace filter, that is. The inheritance filter (as Bill knows
but some may not) processes inheritable attributes like xml:lang
and xml:space.

That assumes that the DOM implementation blindly incorporates anything
the SAX source feeds it in the way of element names, and doesn't
do further checking. (A safe assumption, I bet.)
