Sending a mail is nothing difficult. What I'm looking for is maybe a
good POP3 component with source code.

I agree with you that such a task is relatively easy. I think I can even
say that it is a kind of "infrastructure". That's why I think there
should be bug-free, handy, and open-source components that can handle
them.
