Hi,

I would like to ask what may or may not be a stupid question, but here
goes...

I need to render XML docs using CSS 2.0 and a browser which supports doing
this. The browser also supports rendering HTML with CSS 2.0. I don't have a
problem doing either of these two things. The problem starts to arise when I
want to use HTML markup in my XML docs for the purposes of displaying
elements that I can not use CSS for - eg. <img></img>, <object></object>. I
think I am right in saying that there is no way in CSS 2.0 to tell the
browser how to display an image like it would if it were an HTML document. I
need the browser to recognise HTML markup and display it as it would HTML,
but in addition to that display any custom XML tags according to the
accompaning Style Sheet. Unfortunately I can not use XSL for this. Any
advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
Lisa
