This is a toolkit and assorted high-level languages to extract 
information from HTML pages wherever the HTML structure is "regular 
enough" that it can be formally specified to some extent. The data 
can be shoehorned back into XML with one of the available modules.

Caveat : I haven't used this software, I'm just aware of it and 
though it might be relevant to your question.
