OASIS took over the hosting of the list in 2000-02 from Henry Rzepa and me.
When we ran it there was a threaded archive and a search facility (the
latter has been discontinued, I think). We handed over on the assumption that:
	- OASIS would maintain a threaded archive
	- OASIS would provide a home page - to which and from which others could link
	- OASIS would provide a search facility on this page.

The state of the list has been discussed at length and it was my and others
understanding that these facilities would be provided on a rapid timescale.
At present even the XML-DEV links on the xml.org home page are broken and
the only archive is a simple mailbox.
I mentioned this only a few days ago.

I would be grateful if OASIS and the list maintainers could respond to our
concerns. I, as "moderator" have no technical or organisational control
over the list maintenance.
