Hi all,

Taking the easy route my suggestion would be to keep the names of the
designs simple and to the point -
What about "Compact" for the 1st design, and "Global Scope" for the 2nd
design ?  or is that too simplistic ?

In my opinion the ability to facilitate object re-use is the most important
issue here, but having said that, if the elements with in your schema
are very specific to your implementation and unlikely to be re-used
elsewhere - it may be more efficient to opt for the Compact approach.
There is also always the option of declaring the inner elements globally as
Types to be used in their local instance rather than ref'ing the elements.
