My own experience at a DARPA meeting (DASADA) was that everyone
wanted to switch to XML Schema (instead of DTDs, as they needed content
validation), but no one had even heard of RELAX.
For myself, I always say "the W3C's XML Schema". I find the term as
irritating as the assumption of the term PC by IBM--there were lots of
Personal Computers before big blue got into the act, but after enough
marketing
PC meant IBM.
