If that really *is* your job, as opposed to a highly oversimplified
version of it, then you get the GNU version of sed for your
platform and do "sed s/STUFF/stuff/".
If your platform happens to be Win32, you go to
http://source.redhat.com/cygwin, find a mirror, and grab the
Cygwin DLL and the "cygwin", "bash", "ash", and "grep" packages at least.
