I'd like to add that neither Muslims nor Hindus have anything to do with
Osama bin Laden. Osama bin Laden acts independently of the religion he
claims to represent. While it's shameful that many Muslims of the Arab
world agree with or don't seem to be too shocked by the actions taken
against the United States, this is in no way representative of the
majority of Muslims, and it is *very* much in conflict with Islam as a
religion and societal structure.
What many of you may not know is that I am a Muslim. I'm also an
American, and I love this country. No community deserves to be the
target of mass murder, regardless of the misguided reasoning behind it.
Instead of attempting to disassociate Sikhs with others, our goal should
be to denounce racially and religiously profiled attacks in general.
