Because HTTP URIs are by default treated as GET, something else that Web
Services folks seem loathe to acknowledge in their excitement over
sending envelopes by POST here and there.

More and more I wish Web Services would simply drop the "Web" part from
the title.  They could then go off and do what ever design they like,
without constantly infringing on the Web's basic mechanisms.

Oh, wait.  Isn't that what the WSIO is about?
