The place to start, and pretty surely the place to stop, too, is

This is what you want.  Information on the following calendars: Julian,
Gregorian, Hebrew, Islamic, French Revolutionary, Maya, and Chinese.
Also stuff on Easter, Julian day numbers, year starts, and the 7-day week.
