FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
XML BELUX 2002 USERS GROUP CONFERENCE

The 2002 conference of the Belux XML users group will be held on the 21st
of November at Aula Omnia, Steenweg Deinze 154, B-9810 Nazareth, Belgium. 
Following the success of last year's conference and
the increasing application of XML there will be three tracks at this
year's gathering. One will be primarily focussed on the use of XML for
data applications and the other on its use in the documentation domain.
The third track is dedicated to vendor presentations.

This conference is aimed at ict managers, ict decision makers, developers
and xml users.
Presentations are solicited from those who you who have been involved in
interesting applications in either domain that you would like to share with others.

PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
The presentations should contain original and interesting content.
We are particularly interested in xml modeling, transformations, xml databases and
interoperability.
The presentations should be delivered in english and be limited to 40 minutes.

If you would like to be considered as a potential presentor, could you
please provide
- and abstract in English of between 250 and 300 words that clearly
outlines the content of the presentation and the "key topic" that will
be addressed. Abstracts may not refer to specific brand names.
- a short biography with full address, telephone, fax and e-mail details.

joanna.okelly@lms.be for those that relate to the documentation domain
by june 30th.
Final presentations are due by november 2nd.

For those accepted as presenters, the conference fee will be waived.
