Hi,
this is a call for pariticipation in a new Open Source
Project, which is going to implement the Java Architecture
for XML Binding (JAXB).
While the first JAXB draft was really disappointing,
the second draft (which is hopefully public within
a few weeks) is going to be really promising. Unlike
the first draft, this one is going to be based on
XML Schema and seems to have a well designed framework
for data binding and for its runtime.
I expect JAXB's popularity to supersede that of
Castor, Zeus or JaxMe soon. But it can also be expected
to fail implementing all those nice features of those
tools, probably being never actually usefull.
(At least not compared to the Open Source frameworks.)
Thus I propose to join works in a new project.
Details of the proposal can be found at:
http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=12367&group_id=42590
A design document is available at

A mailing list is available via

Regards,
Jochen
