Is that better or worse than philosophy and aesthetics?

After four years of it being painfully obvious that this spec is a
hideous mess, I'd think we might finally be past "metaphysical whining"
claims.  Haven't you noticed the impact this nightmare has had on
practically every W3C activity from DOM to XHTML?

I wish I could believe that anything in Amy's excellent post was
actually new.  Unfortunately, it's the same sort of stuff that we've
discussed forever, and which might have been avoided if these issues had
been taken seriously a long long time ago.

Nothing left but the screaming, I guess.
