Henry - what I was referring to was that no material should be referenced by
W3C until such time as it is openly posted for public reference - that is
unless there is a liaison between the W3C and this particular effort such
that OASIS is designing something under orders from W3C. Which is not a bad
idea - if W3C was to come to OASIS and say - "design for us a system that
does BLAH"...

In any event - until such time as this type of liaison between the two orgs
exists, this outlines in my mind a breakdown in W3C's process and in Oasis's
standard processes. That's all I was saying - and then there is the
commentary from Rich regarding the underlying motivation and my sanity -

Lets be clear on what that was -

        1) To insure a fair and open standards development process for
all efforts

        2) To insure the value of the efforts - there are a lot of people
working on critical things here in OASIS - anyone that doesn't believe this
doesn't understand the bigger picture. The whole world is receipt based in
one form or another and that no other Standards Org's protocols have dealt
with this as the XML ones do to date.

So this was about insuring value in OASIS processes and its standards - as
to the insanity - well "creativity" is often misunderstood by those of
trapped on the ground, or worse hated.

Todd
