Not at all.  I was just thinking in geolocator terms. 
I'd hate to move to New Jersey to be a tech writer
if I lived in Europe or anywhere OCONUS.  Now,
Cleveland, that's a different matter. :-)

Is "the community" limited to the USA?

That seems very much a late 20th century attitude, arguably inappropriate for the 21st century.
