if you want some idea of how bad it could get - try asking climate
researchers about dataset sizes, or astronomers, or people building
particle accelerators, etc
tim bray probably has a lot of experience in this already, but i suspect
there are applications out there that will already test any limits you
try to impose
so perhaps it's very good that we have dom and streaming models so that
we can pick and choose for our needs
