First mover advantage was a bogus term even when it was used in context (during the height of the dot bomb era) let alone when used to describe something as mundane as site syndication formats.

Indeed, those unsure of how to follow along and implement things in a
collarborative fashion may well want to sit this round out until the braver
souls do the hard work.  By sitting it out however, they'll likely lose
first-mover advantages but I suppose one can't have everything.

Considering that the spec is currently a draft and still full of ambiguity I'm
curious as to what is meant by "support ATOM".
