MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., May 12, 2005-The Mozilla Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving choice and promoting innovation on the Internet, announced today that it will be co-hosting XTech 2005 (formerly XML Europe), the premier European conference for developers and managers working with XML and Web technologies.  XTech 2005 will take place from May 25 - 27, 2005 at the Amsterdam RAI Centre, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

"This is an exciting year for XTech - we have broadened the conference's scope to reflect the growth and advancement of the Web," said Edd Dumbill, XTech 2005 Conference Chair. "Mozilla is a fitting co-host for our event given its dedication to open standards and drive to further innovation on the Internet and better the overall Web experience."

"As the Mozilla project flourishes with the valuable contributions from our community of developers worldwide, XTech 2005 provides a great forum for us to present and collaborate on browser technology progress and direction," said Mitchell Baker, president of the Mozilla Foundation.  "It's precisely this type of collaboration and idea sharing which help drive standards for the next-generation of Web technology and continue to breathe new life and innovation into the Web."
