  • Thread-topic: [ANNOUNCE] Ipedo XIP 4.1 - Web Services Tables, XML Tables

Some of you may be interested in the new release of Ipedo's XIP, which includes the ability to dynamically map XML sources, e.g. Web Services, to relational tables, a la the SQL/XML specification:

Web Services Tables - Building on Ipedo's innovative Dual-Core Query Architecture, this innovation allows users to easily map XML-based Web Services into relational models. Ipedo XIP creates a virtual relational table based on the schema described in a WSDL file. A client application accesses the virtual relational table using standard SQL, and Ipedo XIP manages the invocation of the underlying Web Service dynamically. This allows business intelligence, reporting, or any other SQL-based client application to consume Web Services data as if it were relational data, including joins across multiple Web Services, or combinations of Web Services and existing relational databases. An online demonstration of Web Services Tables is available at http://www.ipedo.com/wstdemo.
