The OASIS Symposium is Approaching!

In addition to two tracks of compelling presentations on SOA, Web services,
document standards and more, Symposium 2007 offers plenty of opportunities
for valuable networking and not-to-be-missed entertainment:

*	TC Lightning Rounds - Back by popular demand, this is an effective and fun
way to track related work and make valuable connections. All TCs should
designate a fast-talking spokesperson to represent their work in three
minutes or less.

*	Members Choice Awards - New this year! Symposium attendees have the chance
to vote on Best OASIS Standard, Most Promising TC, Most Valuable Chair, Most
Enlightening Performance in a TC Lightning Round, Favorite Staff Person, and
more. Winners gains some serious bragging rights. Awards will be presented
at the Tuesday Reception.

*	Meet the Candidates - Nominees for the Board and TAB 2007 elections will
be identified with special badges and recognized during the opening session
and AGM. They'll also host BoFs during lunch. If you're thinking about
running, this is a great opportunity to build support.

*	Book Table Display & Raffle - A showcase of books featuring information on
OASIS Standards and specifications will be on display throughout the event.
Attendees will have a change to browse and display copies will be raffled
off at the Tuesday Reception. Book donations welcome.

*	Challenges - Sand volleyball, table tennis, golf, karaoke--we're looking
for members to step up to the plate and define fun in the San Diego sun.

* 	Live band performance - Rumor has it a well known OASIS member and his
band may perform at Tuesday's poolside Reception.

*	Special How-To Sessions:  Mary McRae will be on hand to provide insider
tips essential for chairs and editors and useful to all TC participants.
