I'd forgotten it even still existed :) Basically it's just like every  
single other text templating system (i.e. conducive to ugly and  
unmaintainable code if you don't know what you're doing, and  
sometimes even if you do), except with fewer features than the most  
advanced ones, occasionally arcane approaches to problems (they were  
amongst the first big Web templating languages), and a rather small  
community last I checked.

Also, it's now owned by Adobe which is world-renowned for its  
brilliant server strategy (not), likely promising it to a bright  
future (not).
