RE: [xml-dev] <offtopic>Opinions About Cold Fusion</offtopic>

Thanks to one and all for the opinions. You confirm my sense of the thing:
a bit awkward, somewhat stale, but stable and productive. A shop relying on
this for contract work probably has a lot of it to do. That suits my needs
perfectly. I think those comparing it to ASP.NET are possibly right
although that framework also has odd wrinkles. It seems no matter who does
it, wrapping low level components in high level components to shield the
programmer from the tedious work always creates those.

If something comes of this, I'll let you know. Eight months seems like a
terribly long time to be without a job, but it appears that age and location
are considerably more important than the HR spokes admit. On the other
hand, it hasn't been wasted time given access to the web and self-starter
projects. I've thoroughly enjoyed the time to work on a largish real-time
3D world and test some theories about that in running code.

Thanks!
