Here is a typical (whoa!) prescription for pattern building using some
specific XML application technology and a process of creating or deriving
components and fitting them to other components at levels of abstraction
(e.g., a universal domain, a subdomain, etc.).

One can be both conducting discovery and creating simultaneously.

My sense of such prescriptions is they read more daunting then they are, but
are more tedious to complete than they seem.
