I'm pretty sure copyright is not an issue for Examplotron, but I can ask Eric if we need to make clear.

I think the main change that would be needed would be for namespaces, since Examplotron makes use of "global" attributes (such as eg:occurs).  I expect that Microtron documents should be MicroXML, so we'd just have to figure out how to map those global attributes , perhaps by reserving a prefix under the convention of the current MicroXML proposal.
