It won't, I'm afraid. Several appeals for volunteers to work on XQUF 3.0 and 3.1 drew no response. It was also caught up in a bit of a deadlock between people who wanted to make minimal changes (just updating it to work with XQ 3.0/3.1) and those who wanted something much more radical.

In the end, like open-source implementations, these things don't happen because users want them, they happen because someone is prepared to put in the time to create them.
