Re: [xml-dev] Standard XML or JSON vocabulary for expressing the setof tests performed on a file and the results of those tests?

Xspec and Rspec seem to tied to programming language concepts. Xspec is really tied to xslt and related technologies. If I were to go for describing tests you might do on documents in the most implementation agnostic way I would go with gherkin https://cucumber.io/docs/gherkin/reference/
