It is of course interesting as to how Scott sees the marketing
opporutnities for OASIS with IPR in mind, and without detracting from
his carefully crafted statement, the fact still remains that  the
initial question is unanswered about the usuability of the
contribution, which has not been definitively resolved. Any further
ideas about how to answer this particular issue? I believe that Jim's
approach is both practical and workable from a legal point of view. Is
it possible to seek Patrick Gannon's views or someone designated by him
for guidance about the particular matter at hand, i.e., whether the
contribution can become part of the standard or not, and if it can, by
what procedures to protect the organization?
