True. Given the track record of the working group and the complexity of the problem (compared to the simplicity of the query issue) I'd expect it to take longer.

There's work in progress on update (i.e. a version that can save
changes) but it's not the main focus of the Working Group right now
for obvious reasons! It's far from trivial, but it's also far from
clear that it'll take another five years.
