Im not sure what you are looking after but OMG is creating the *first*
binary representation of XML. Have a look at the XML Value technology
<http://www.omg.org/techprocess/meetings/schedule/XML_Value_RFP.html>.
Together with the IIOP serialization rules you have an binary XML
encoding.
