When I acronymize myself it's usually SSL (not SGS or STL). If you've
called me "O'Reilly Simon St.Laurent" a few times, I suspect people will
be able to figure out ORSTL or ORSSL.
People seem to have "gotten" W3C XML Schema pretty readily (despite its
non-use in the specs except as the name of a working group), and WXS is
a similarly small jump.
I'm not really sure why you see this as such a problem.
