So you say.  I certainly haven't seen anything in my own experiences to 
corroborate that.  But as Simon rightly chided me, it doesn't really matter.  
It's not a matter of dumb scales.  It's a matter of general choice.

If these folks would only admit that the direction they are going is distinct 
from XML, there would be no problem.  What you describe is basically a fork, 
with the unfortunate error of appropriating the lineaments of the original 
branch.
