Hmmm. I've worked/consulted for software firms with anywhere from one to 
 >20,000 people and I can't say I've ever noticed any correlation 
between company size and the kinds of people working there. I've found 
young, old, smart, stupid, annoying, nice, and every other kind of 
person at all sizes of companies.

About the only correlation I've ever noticed is that people in small 
companies work as generalists and people in large companies work as 
specialists. But even that doesn't mean they are inherently generalists 
or specialists -- it's just the kind of work they do given their current 
position.
