a three random thoughts;

* I would reconsider naming it XML 3.0

* I think the lesson I have learned about creating specs 'by email',
is that a lot of information gets lost, and a lot of energy is
expended, e.g. I would setup a github or wiki asap and move the
primary conversation there ... also setup a date to meet face to face
(or skype teleconf) always helps focuses effort

* Is what is being discussed evolutionary or revolutionary ? The
pragmatist in us all sees a necc incremental evolutionary step ... but
it can't take 1-3 yrs to specify ... more like 1-3 mths to have a
chance of remaining relevant (if that is a goal).
